This novel tells a very evocative and emotional story of 3 individuals who were trying hard to understand each other. Nathan is a father who is striving hard to learn connecting with his newly born son. Rachel is a college student who is looking to find her place both to be in a relationship and lie. This was before she got married to Nathan.
Finally, it comes to Ziggy, their son, who is now a teenager and looking to find out where he came from and to where he is headed. The many shifts depicted with the different time frames associated with the lives of these mentioned characters span well over a decade. It ideally captures the many possible complexities of having children, growing up, and getting accustomed to it. The nexus that the storyline and the characters make is quite fascinating and something to enjoy.
