Experimentation is observed in the way the book is written, the book is a collection of several stories and not a whole big novel that is usually expected of Brandon Sanderson. Nine stories are there in this masterpiece and all are again related to science fiction and other stuff like that, something we saw in Words of Radiance and Oathbringer in plenty.
Tales are not only exiting and appealing but they are full of energy it’s like they possess a life of their own. There is no match between the themes of the stories and thus the flavor is superb it is like jumping into an ocean where every tide takes you to a new domain. We have seen detective novels by the author and also mystery and fictional work but none of it had that sort of an impact that this book provides.
The messages are concrete and the characters stronger than ever. Scintillating voices of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading are in nice coordination and these two narrators know about the works of the author more than anyone because they have narrated several parts of the renowned series by the author.
They know what sort of stress should be in the voice of the characters and also this one was a tough task because they got to change gears along with the change in the scene and the story. It is not something like the other books where you harp on the same line of action and the scenes do not change that randomly. The focus and theme is also the same but here this is not the case.
